STAR WARS C10 MINT/ROLLED MOVIE POSTER 1st ISSUE AS AUTHENTICATED BY LUCASFILM
THE MOST FAMOUS MOVIE POSTER OF ALL TIME! ACTUAL FIRST AND ONLY LEGITIMATE 1977 PRINTING! PERFECT MINT For the FUSSY Collector! OK - Here it is: A BONA FIDE ORIGINAL ROLLED NEVER-FOLDED 1st Printing NSS (National Screen Service) STAR WARS Style "A" PRE-RELEASE One-Sheet Movie Poster! Even the most advanced Star Wars collectors doesn't have this important poster in. PERFECT MINT/C-10 ORIGINAL ROLLED NEVER-FOLDED UNUSED CONDITION. THE EARLY PRE-RELEASE HISTORY OF THIS RARE 1st PRINTING.

This one-sheet, a rare half-sheet, and, a 14x36 inch insert were all made and distributed without the PG box here within the USA! Not many were dispersed, but they did get out. This rare MINT example is one of those early posters made. A lot of people believe that if a poster is absent the PG box that means it's an "international" poster. There are MANY posters printed specifically for distribution here in the USA that don't have the PG Box.

It's also true that international posters typically do NOT have the PG ratings box. However, that one single factor isn't the sole determining element as to whether a poster is international or domestic. Also, many new collectors, or, "the novice-uninformed" get confused about what an international poster is. An international poster is a poster printed in the country of origin where a film is produced, but is made for distribution outside of that country. I finally was able to find photographic proof that FOX issued Star Wars posters this way.

In an old "Toyota Weekly" magazine from 1977, Toyota ran a Star Wars contest with a first prize being a new Celica "Force-mobile"- custom painted with the logo and characters from the film. In their corporate magazine they documented an event showcasing the car prior to the films release. The photos show a Star Wars 24-sheet hanging in the background on the 20th Century-Fox studio lot in California - where the spread was shot.

The 24-sheet has the same Tom Jung art as this half-sheet and does NOT have the PG box - same as this half-sheet. That's definitive proof Fox used posters without the PG domestically. I have a scan of the Toyota Weekly image of the 24-sheet without the PG. Additionally, I know that half-sheet posters on Raiders of the Lost Ark were issued here the same way - FIRST - without the PG. I even have a 22x28 on Raiders with a PG box sticker that was pasted onto a NON-PG poster.

That clearly shows they printed posters on these films before they had ratings! Both Star Wars and Raiders of the Lost Ark got the PG in the end, and, in the end, BOTH productions added the PG box on the posters. In 1977, they even reprinted the 24-sheet billboards with the added PG boxes as well. [or 1-sheet] is a printer's term for what's considered the "standard" poster size, which is 27x41 inches.

This NO PG one-sheet has the NSS printing code 77/21-0, which is the first (and only) genuine printing. Authentic originals of this printing are rare enough to find, but to find one in genuine. ROLLED NEVER-FOLDED UNUSED ORIGINAL CONDITION - Forget about it! This is not one of those.

I call those "the Energizer Bunnies of posters, " because they keep on coming and coming.... Nevertheless, I'm not going to go into all one-hundred and one different ways one can to tell this original style "A" from the fakes (I'll save that for my encyclopedia on posters), but I'll point out the four big issues of pressing concern to most educated collectors. Is the all important razor sharp GAU (Graphic Arts International) union stamp.

The logo must have even and thick Razor Sharp lines that present clarity within the logo, because if it doesn't - it's a copy! - would be the so-called hairy belt. It's actually a hair (below Luke's belt) that was caught in the duplication process when they photographed the original to bootleg it. It's one of the bootleg's most telltale signs - but - I wouldn't solely rely on it. I've seen dubious people carefully scratch the "hair" off with a needle so it wouldn't photograph in their listings.

I found out about that trick the hard way, when I bought one that appeared not to have the hair. IMPORTANT LUCASFILM AUTHENTICATION & EXPOSURE! - This is the genuine 1977 77/21-0 1st printing. It was issued WITHOUT THE PG! In fact, in 2005, Lucasfilm released the official "Star Wars Poster Book, " which lists ALL of the posters they were aware of at the time of publishing. It lists ONLY two (2) authentic US style "A" one-sheets in their list of over 3000 posters in the back of the book; This one and the 20th Century Record promotion one-sheet. Furthermore - and even more important - is the fact that, in the front of the book, they give this style "A" one sheet a glorious full page representation on page 15. If you take a careful look, you'll notice the poster does NOT have the PG ratings box, and so that more than proves my point about the originality and the 1st printing status of this NON PG one-sheet. I've posted a high-res photo of the Lucasfilm book showing the style "A" on page 15 in the photo section of this listing (see photo #7).

I admit my prices are somewhat advanced, but the service and guarantee I provide is equally advanced. It more than makes up for what appears not to be a bargain price. I say "appears" because it's my sincere belief that it's a bargain to be certain in what you're getting. Certainty is what all the fuss is about when it comes to certifications on autographs, baseball cards, and, comic books.

It's what all three of those collectable industries solely rely on. I'm a well-known expert.

I fully designed and authored a Star Wars poster-collecting guide back in 1999 - It was published by Butterfields. I'm credited in the front of the guide. I offer that guide with some of my listings see a photo of it in my listing with the.

1976 ORIGINAL Star Wars Corporation FLYER. I point this out because I want you to know that I can definitely authenticate Star Wars posters with 100% accuracy. Needless to say, this one-sheet is as clean as it gets. This particular original has been coveted since 1977!

It's as advertised - REAL & MINT! It measures the full 27x41 inches. It's ROLLED AND NEVER FOLDED!! This poster has been stored FLAT between acid-free paper, and so - NO CURL!! Try and find that elsewhere. When it arrives just lay it flat, and in a a day or so the poster will relax and remain flat, making it perfect for framing and/or art storage. After 40 years of infamy, this poster is now nearly impossible to find in PERFECT MINT condition. Heck, it's hard to find anything that's in perfect mint rolled condition. Given the popularity of this original, it would be very hard to find a better poster investment. Like they say in New Jersey, Forget about it.... It's arguably the MUST HAVE Star Wars poster of all time - Especially in this TOP PERFECT MINT ORIGINAL CONDITION! It's as flat as a pancake, even flatter.

Again, if you're a fussy Star Wars collector, this one-sheet is for you. Regardless, it's an important poster to own, even if you are not a Star Wars collector. This one-sheet personifies "movie poster, " serving as a synonym for the format itself. This is probably the most famous movie poster design of all time, recognizable to nearly everyone on the planet. It's now been over 40 years since it was originally printed.

As the years pass, it becomes harder and harder to acquire an authentic original that's mint. This will be professionally packaged & sent in a special PVC crush-proof pipe-tube to assure it arrives undamaged! If you're looking for an investment/museum quality item, look no further!

Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Anthony Daniels.... It can crash regardless of any decision you make and can even crash regardless of any decision made by the company related to the stock - Leaving you with a near worthless piece of paper that won't inspire anyone!

The magnificence of art and historic documents have an inherent value that relates to civilization and society. Please write with any questions. If you're in the market for top quality original vintage movie posters or Star Wars, then please.
